Information on the Visit Process

Dear owner,
We would like to provide you with some essential information to ensure that your visit proceeds as smoothly as possible.

Appointment scheduling

We kindly ask clients to schedule appointments online (via the e-booking form or email). The following information is crucial when scheduling:

  • contact details of the owner (first and last name, phone, email, address)
  • contact details of the veterinarian (first and last name, veterinary clinic)
  • basic information about the patient (animal species, gender, date of birth, weight)
  • description of the problem
  • description of previous examinations, treatments, medication history
  • warning regarding potential risk factors (e.g., heart disease)
  • submission of relevant medical reports for the planned examination
  • (if specified by your veterinarian) type of examination and body part to be examined

Preparation for the examination

Before coming for the examination:

Ensure that your pet fasts for 6 hours before the examination. Drinking water is allowed until departure from home, but not while waiting in the waiting room.

If your pet regularly takes medication, please inform us so we can advise whether they can be administered before the examination.

Arrive for the examination a few minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Our reception desk will first check whether all your pet's data has been entered into the system and update it if necessary (entering recent reports, etc.). Your visit will then continue with an initial discussion with the doctor before the examination begins.

Using e-booking enables our team to dedicate careful attention to all patients.
If you need to cancel your appointment, don't hesitate to contact us at least 1-2 days in advance to make it available for others.

Good to know

1Preparation for diagnostic examinations (CT, MRI)
Ensuring that your pet remains entirely still is essential for optimal imaging diagnostics. For this purpose, sedation or anesthesia is necessary to ensure maximum safety. As we understand the uniqueness of each pet, we will address any concerns you may have regarding anesthesia. We aim to make the examination process as comfortable as possible for your pet and ensure it is as stress-free as possible. Therefore, we will begin calming measures in your presence, and further examination will proceed in the clinic rooms.

"If additional tests are required or recommended before or based on the CT/MRI examination, we will discuss them with you. We want to ensure that you fully understand the need for these tests and the associated costs."
2Duration of examinations

The duration of the examination may vary depending on your pet's health condition and the potential need for additional tests. However, you can expect the following approximate durations:

- CT examination: approximately 2-3 hours
- MRI examination: approximately 3-4 hours

During the examination, you will have approximately 1-2 hours of free time, which you can use as you wish.
3Findings and results of examinations

We strive to provide test results as quickly as possible. After the examination, the doctor will guide you through the findings. A comprehensive report will be sent to you and your veterinarian within 1-3 days..

In urgent cases, obtaining the results immediately after the examination is possible.
4Further treatments and therapies

Further treatment steps will be determined by the referring veterinarian for patients referred by a veterinarian. We are committed to collaborating with your veterinarian, maintaining close communication, and providing necessary support and guidance based on our expertise and diagnostic results.

For patients who have self-referred, we will also present options for further treatment after the examination, if necessary and feasible, to ensure your pet's well-being.

After the examination

Home care after anesthesia

After anesthesia, create a quiet resting space for your pet. Monitor them carefully for 12-24 hours and check for discomfort or unusual behavior. Pay attention to breathing difficulties, excessive panting, or difficulty getting up. Offer water after 1-2 hours and food after 3-4 hours.

If your pet feels nauseous, start with a small amount of water/food and gradually return to average amounts. Inform us if there are significant issues.

Costs and payment options

Examination costs include comprehensive care: consultation, pre-anesthetic examination, anesthesia, basic blood profile, CT/MRI examination, patient monitoring during and after the examination, preliminary analysis, and final report.

Before the examination, we can provide you with information regarding the expected costs and explain them if necessary. Payment can be made using major credit cards or cash.

If you have pet insurance, please provide the necessary documents for processing.

We appreciate your trust.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
