Jérôme Benoit joined the team of the Animal Hospital Postojna as a consultant in 2013 and has been remotely conducting all radiotherapy planning for our hospital patients since then. 

Jérôme Benoit graduated from the National Veterinary School of Lyon (France), specializing in Fundamental and Clinical Veterinary Studies. He further pursued a specialization in radiation oncology at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, North Carolina State University (USA). He completed his education with a specialty exam and became a member of the American College of Veterinary Radiology – Radiation Oncology (Dipl. ACVR (RO)).

Jérôme's professional aspiration is to advance modern veterinary radiation oncology in Europe. For over five years, he has been actively involved in the development of this field at the VRCC in England. Additionally, he served as the lead consultant for the Oncology Department at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals (Royal Veterinary College) in London, furthering his dedication to this specialized area of veterinary medicine.

Jérôme Benoit currently works at the specialized center Oncovet in France, equipped with state-of-the-art radiotherapy equipment for small and large animals. Dr. Benoit joined the team of the Animal Hospital Postojna as a consultant in 2013 and has been remotely conducting all radiotherapy planning for our hospital's patients since then. Additionally, we are in constant contact with Dr. Benoit, who visits us at least once a year to ensure the optimal conditions for treating our patients with radiotherapy.
