Dr. Jani Pečar joined the team at the Animal Hospital Postojna in June 2020. He specializes in soft tissue, oncological surgery, and endoscopies.
Jani Pečar graduated from the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Ljubljana in 1996 and commenced employment at the same faculty that year, where he remained until 2006. He earned his master's degree in veterinary surgery in 2000 and completed his doctoral degree in 2002. Alongside participating in over 50 international and domestic congresses, symposiums, and workshops, he furthered his expertise in soft tissue surgery and endoscopy through collaborations and visits to veterinary faculties abroad, including those in Utrecht, Netherlands, and Cambridge, UK.
From 2006 to 2018, Jani Pečar pursued his career in the pharmaceutical industry, where he gained additional expertise in leadership, personnel development, and operations within complex matrix structures in various international pharmaceutical multinational environments.
Despite being inspired by new knowledge and experiences from the business environment, Jani Pečar remained connected with veterinary medicine. Since mid-2018, he has become more actively involved in this field. He joined the Animal Hospital Postojna team in June 2020, specializing in soft tissue surgery, oncological surgery, oncology, and endoscopies.
