Ana graduated from the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Ljubljana in 2006. During her undergraduate research, conducted under the mentorship of Prof. Dr. Janoš Butinar, she was honored with the Prešeren Award. Since 2007, she has been employed at the Animal Hospital Postojna, and in 2014, she became a co-owner of the company.
In addition to her clinical duties, Ana enriched her expertise in oral medicine and maxillofacial surgery while undergoing the official training program for veterinary stomatology and oral surgery at the European College of Veterinary Dentistry (EVDC). Her immersion in the field included invaluable experiences and additional knowledge acquired through interactions with specialists from both Europe and America.


Evropska specialistka s področja veterinarske stomatologije in ustne medicine (Dipl EVDC) je postala leta 2022.
V Bolnici za živali se poleg opravljanja raznovrstnih stomatoloških posegov intenzivno ukvarja z zdravljenjem tumorjev v ustni votlini psov in mačk.
She is also part of the oncological radiotherapy team at the Animal Hospital Postojna.
She is aware that the profession of a veterinary doctor involves more than clinical work. In 2011, she enrolled in a Molecular Genetics and Biotechnology doctoral program at the University of Nova Gorica. She focused on studying the diagnostic and prognostic value of various biomarkers in inflammatory and neoplastic diseases of the head and neck in dogs and obtained her Ph.D. in 2015.
She also participates to the oncological radiotherapy team at the Animal Hospital Postojna. Ana is actively involved in both clinical and scientific research, focusing on the pathogenesis and systemic effects of inflammatory and neoplastic diseases affecting the head and neck in dogs and cats. She shares the findings of her research through presentations at professional conferences and publication in scientific journals.
Poleg kliničnega dela je Ana tudi predavateljica na tečajih permanentnega izobraževanja SCIVAC (Italijansko združenje veterinarjev za male živali) ter na številnih drugih domačih in mednarodnih kongresih.
