Marko Pipan completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine studies at the Veterinary Faculty of the University of Ljubljana in 2000. He pursued postgraduate clinical training at the University of Ljubljana, the University of Utrecht, and the University of Pennsylvania. There, he completed a 3-year clinical specialization in small animal emergency and critical care medicine. In 2011, following the successful completion of the specialty exam, he earned the title of specialist or Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (Dipl. ACVECC).
As an internationally recognized specialist in his field of veterinary medicine, he has served not only in Slovenia but also in Manchester, England, Belgrade, and Kuala Lumpur. He has lectured at domestic and international veterinary medicine congresses.

At the Animal Hospital Postojna, Marko Pipantakes care for urgent and critically ill patients, with a particular focus on oncological cases, which represent a significant aspect of the hospital's work.
In addition to caring for critically ill patients, Marko Pipan specializes in advanced imaging diagnostics, which encompass ultrasound, CT, and MRI. These diagnostic modalities provide detailed insights into the patient's condition and enable accurate diagnoses, particularly in modern veterinary oncology. Marko Pipan is an integral part of the advanced imaging diagnostics team at the Animal Hospital Postojna.
