DVM, Resident ECVD

Ana Petak graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Zagreb in 2013. In 2009, she participated in a scientific project on parasitic diseases of marine mammals at the Western University of Health Sciences under the leadership of Dr. Suzana Tkalčić. Throughout her academic career, Ana has received numerous awards for academic excellence and scholarships.

From 2014 to 2016, Ana Petak worked in private veterinary clinics for small animals in Croatia. Following this, from 2016 to 2022, she pursued a dermatology residency at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Zagreb, under the mentorship of Dr. Nikša Lem, Dipl. ECVD. Currently, she is completing her residency under the mentorship of Dr. Manolis Saridomichelakis, Dipl. ECVD. Until 2020, she was employed at the Veterinary Hospital of the University of Zagreb. Subsequently, she began working in a private clinic in Zagreb and at the Animal Hospital Postojna. Throughout her residency, she served as the secretary and later as the president of the dermatology residency committee.

She has lectured on dermatology at various symposiums and congresses, domestically and internationally, on topics such as autoimmune diseases, alopecia, allergies, and pyoderma.

She is an active member of the Croatian Veterinary Chamber, the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology (ESVD), and the International Society of Veterinary Dermatopathology (ISVD).
